POOR HIDE - INTERIOR/EXTERIOR
Failure of dried paint to obscure or “hide” the surface to which it is applied.
Causes
- Use of a low quality paint.
- Use of low quality tools/wrong roller cover.
- Selecting color that primarily contains low-hiding organic colorants.
- Application of paint at a higher spread rate than recommended.
Solutions
- Apply additional coat(s) of paint at the recommended spread rate.
- Use quality application tools and a roller cover with the correct nap if rolling
